Can't say that Boston College losing to Clemson by 23 will help their cause.

I would guess right now that MSU has about a 20% chance to get in. This is primarily because (a) they were at about 1% until nearly every team that has been on the bubble has either gotten beat or been terrible, and (b) it's a very down year for good resumes in the NCAA tournament, and 25 wins and a conference title is not subjective.

That said, if MSU ends up in the NIT, it will be due to one thing: an AD that doesn't know how to create a schedule where you play good teams and don't need to play every single team in Arkansas other than Arkansas.

one thing that is on their side is history. I believe the regular season winner of the MVC has made the tourney since 1993.

After today's results, I think the number is back down to 1%. Buy your fake tournament tickets now, MSU fans. It'll take a miracle.

Mo St is no longer on the first four out list. Two seed in the NIT?

That is one man's opinion who has been rated about 23rd out of all the Bracketologists.

But yes, we will probably be a 2 seed in the NIT which gives us two home games hopefully.

My annual NCAA rant. Let all teams in. The seedings would be used for regionals hosted by the 64 teams selected. High schools can do it, why not colleges.

With the absence of any Valley teams challenging themselves schedulewise, UNO is planning on making the jump to D-1. http://www.omaha.com/article/20110313/N ... -wrestling This will give many Valley teams an opportunity to buy yet another win in the nonconference portion of the season. I think local politics will force Creighton to play the Mavericks, but I'm interested to see which other Valley team is the first to jump on the opportunity to buy a win from UNO. The thought of any Valley team scheduling the Mavericks pains me, but with the way the Valley is trending, I can imagine UNO will generate a bunch of revenue playing road games at Creighton, Drake, UNI and others.

Too many Valley games against the UNO's of the world is one of the reasons the Valley is in the shape it's in. It's not a bracket travesty, this is simply how overall weak nonconference scheduling has crushed this conference. I just hope UNO does something to build a name before all the Valley teams come running to play for the easy win. We know Doc Sadler and the Huskers can't wait to pencil in UNO on their schedule. Note to Valley fans, if your team's nonconference schedule resembles Nebraska's, you are killing yourself and the rest of the league. Once again, if MSU is left out, it's not a travesty. Hopefully we all learn from this year.

It's ridiculous to say the BCS conference teams play cupcake out of conference schedules. If they did, they would have low rpi's. Obviously the Big East played the toughest out of confernce schedule, or at least the toughest of any conference that won a lot of games, or they would not have had the #1 RPI. If you look at their non-conference games, you see a lot of top 100 teams on the schedules. The RPI is fair and does not have a bias to the best of my knowledge. That's why the NCAA selection committe pretty much ignores it anymore.

The fact that UCONN went from a 5 seed (as the ninth ranked Big East team) to a 2 seed based on their conference tournament in Lunardi's bracket is a complete crock. I'd love to see about 8 Big East teams lose their first round game.
