Wrong. The Big East is very much a power conference. The 2014 ESPN Top 100 commits, by conference... As of today:

ACC 13
Big East 12
B1G 12
SEC 11
PAC 7
AAC 6
MTNW 2
A10 2
WCC 2
MVC 0

I'm rooting for the Valley, but tone down the hyperbole and deal in facts.

3 teams shoring up all the recruits doesn't make the league worth a damn. It makes those 3 teams worth a damn.

Your big boys are gone. If you can't admit that, then maybe you're the one that needs a big dose of reality. You'll see it soon enough.
USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll Conference Breakdown:

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

I always thought it just meant he was double the size. And apparently likes to doubly make fun of rape.

We'll see how the recruiting is in a couple of years when we can better see what the separation from the anchors of the former Big East is on the rest of them. It will have an effect unless the new Big East can make their case on their own.

There you go posting again without checking facts. Over half the league, 6 of the 10 teams, have landed a Top 100 recruit. You say the big boys are gone but failed to mention the remaining teams have a combined 21 Final Four appearances.

And no, none of the ESPN Top 100 recruits are Creighton's. I think we'll be fine next year with our 2 Top-150 recruits and fine this year with our returning 2x All-American and his 6th-year sidekick.

Of course, as AngryShock said, give it a few years and see, but Bill Raftery wouldn't have been at Creighton's practice Tuesday if the Big East were just another midmajor league.
"When you lose a program like Creighton, there's no sugarcoating it," Elgin said. "It's a devastating loss. They're going to go on and have success in the league they've joined..." Jeff Eisenberg, Yahoo Sports, October 10, 2013.

Why is Len Elmore going to be at WSU's shocker madness and it broadcast on an ESPN network?

It isn't because the best thing about the WSU program is conference affiliation?

One thing is very clear: Whether the BigEast ends up any good or not, Creighton fans are showing their true colors. How quickly they forget where they came from. Suddenly the Top100 recruits and Final Fours of other schools is something to pound the chest about. Sounds a lot like DePaul and South Florida.

Advance to the second weekend of the tournament and then come back to this board. That should spare us all from your unfounded arrogance for a few more decades.

Is that the same Len Elmore that was at Creighton's Bluejay Madness last year?

:+1:

Creighton fans are really letting this thing get to their heads now. My how quickly things have changed now that they have aligned with an overrated league of leftovers. Soon enough, they'll be doing the tango with DePaul and Providence and be bragging how MAJOR they are, lol.
