At least with Loyola they lost at the buzzer in a game that could’ve been won if not fouling 2 3PT shooters, missing FTs, newcomers missing defensive assignments.

This is ridiculous. ISU’s seniors are getting wrecked. Seniors should not be playing defense this carelessly. Big difference in leadership from Paris Lee (2 years ago) to Milik. Paris set the tone with effort.

SIU might be the team to beat.

I done with dan. Program has turned into a laughing stock anc he can get win with talent. Go join Paul Lusk wherever the f*** he is. Bring back Yaklich as head coach. I'd be surprised with an nit berth

In all honesty, I'm not looking forward to playing ISU AT ALL. They are freaky athletic and talented. But man oh man--where is the effort on defense? That was street ball, not team ball. I assume they'll get it together, but that was some of the sloppiest matador basketball I've seen since the end of the Stan Albeck era, let alone Geno. That said, again, that's a scary talented team. Let's hope they get some OOC wins for the good of the conference.

Always impressed with Fayne, works hard, as did Gassman. Belmont was too much inside and ran effective plays. Belmont seemed like they had a ton of rebounds.

Dan let's players daddy's money dictate playing time. Let's players run wild. Can't coach defense. Time to go. The program is the laughing stock but he is beloved because he's an alum. Hopefully by March those people will come around.

Some legit tests for Valley teams tonight. I thought we'd win 2 if not 3 of 'em. ISU looked bad, albeit against a talented squad. UNI looked meh against an okay UTA squad (and lost). Bradley looked just okay at home against a competent but unremarkable SEMO squad--but won and had little trouble doing so. UE was okay, but an L is an L. Overall an underwhelming start by the Valley, not just tonight but overall. So far the "The Valley Is Loaded" narrative looks overblown. Onward and upward. Hopefully it's all just rust.

Murray dominates Horizon favorite Wright St by 20. Ja Morant goes off for 26/11. Racers haven’t lost a beat after earning a 12-seed last year.

This is from March but it is 100% spot on and has become relevant given the whupping the Racers just put on Wright State. Even if there is no suitable #12 it's past time to embrace Murray State.
