Loyola is going to need some guys who can make plays. If that offense was bad at times this season.....yikes.

Lot of transfers flowing out of the MVC this year. Aside from Valpo though I don't think any team has lost anyone they'd really miss to transfer.

Agreed. Most of the transfers seem to be aimed at upgrading talent, not the other way around. Coaches are having honest chats with players about about where they fit in (or don't) next season.

Loyola is going to need some guys who can make plays. If that offense was bad at times this season.....yikes.

Don't see that as a huge loss other than experienced depth at pg; Kennedy is the highest rated HS player coming into the Valley next year. They probably need to add a grad transfer or juco pg for help there, but the rest of their lineup thru about 10 is pretty solid if their rs transfer and freshmen can give them some minutes. In a race that has no favorites right now, they are still one of 2-3 that are a bit above the rest.

Ramblers seem to be pretty heavy into the Juco/Grad xfer markets for guards, so I think between that and Kennedy coming in, playing time was going to be an issue for Budjoso. There will be some pressure on Kennedy to contribute right away.

The hope for Loyola has to be that the offense is stronger and deeper next year. You lose Townes and Custer, but you gain three freshmen (Kennedy and Welch were big scorers) plus a transfer and hopefully another scoring threat in Tate Hall who sat out last year as a D2 transfer.

Big issue for LU this year was too much deference to the big 3. Great shots were left on the table as players just didn’t have the confidence to pull the trigger. My hope is next year with no true “go to” guard the team we can maintain good ball movement while taking the open looks.

i def think we add a JUCO guard and then a transfer though to help. Loved Bujdoso’s defense; but his offense was really limited at this stage
