TNMSUFAN, thanks. That sounds about right for the Vegas games. The other option at this point was Bethune Cookman and I think the organizers were still trying to find one more team to fill out the complete field. Those two were probably the better teams of the 3 options available, so if they have those, then that is pretty good for them.

The other exhibition game I had listed was William Jewell but it was originally scheduled for the 5th before the Missouri Southern game was inserted to that date.

A bunch of exhibitions are starting to pop up for teams now. The latest are Quincy playing at Drake and Illinois State.

I'm with you. The schedule is shaping up better than in years past. What's the deal with the other yet named CUSA team?

It's Missouri State, they just haven't announced the move yet.

Sorry, had to.

We could really use t-ball emoticon. That one was set up perfectly.

Add UAB at IBA Nov 25. With a hopefully solid BB opponent, that means likely 8 of 12 non conference games against quality opponents, mostly top 100 types, and many top 50. Not spectacular, but a good solid schedule, the most challenging in the Valley, and one I am fairly pleased with, as long as the remaining 4 aren't all in the 250+ range.

Wow so the Bears are going to CUSA after all??? That's a great move for us and I guess that proves once and for all MSU is a notch above the rest of the Valley!!!

All tongue in cheek of course.

We should not pander to the rest of the Valley fans that mock us in my opinion glm38. We have taken a beating over this and we should not try to make people happy by mocking ourselves particularly to those with such a myopic view of things.

Casey, it is because of mostly you.. and a few others, IMO, that the rest of your fanbase has had to take that "beating". I don't think it's your call to tell anyone what to do, especially when the previous poster was making light of a situation that was pretty embarrassing to say the least.

Sadly enough, he has done more damage control for your remarks than you have and he's only been here a few weeks.

With the way it was presented to us and the completely off the top views that were said by you and a few others, this will not die for a quite a while, and deservedly so.

As to the UAB game for WSU, that is a great get. We are actually building a schedule that will actually help us this year, assuming we can get some W's out of it. I also agree with 2live that as long as those other 4 home games aren't 250+ bombs, we should be in solid shape SOS-wise.

Good non conference game, but why at IBA? It seemed like Shox fans were less than happy about how things were handled there last year.

The UAB game was setup by an outside promoter for IBA. It technically had nothing to do with WSU and is a "neutral" game. This game will likely not be included in the season ticket package, unlike the Tulsa game last year, which of course was done by WSU and moved from Koch to IBA.

Two completely different games. Marshall has stated that he would like a game a year at IBA. The players love the newness of the venue. Most fans like it because more can get in and provides a little more things to do before and after the game. The only people annoyed with IBA were the ones that couldn't fathom the idea of fitting a square into a round peg.

Unlike last year, this game was brought together by an "outside promoter" (whatever that means.) As opposed to last year, when Tulsa was scheduled to play at Koch but WSU decided to move the game to IBA. This could indicate the game won't be a part of the season ticket package, we don't really know. I think all of us were expecting a game at IBA at least once a year, so we're not too upset, some of us love having a game at IBA and I love the fact that this game isn't taking a game away from Koch. More is supposed to be released tomorrow, so we should learn more of the specifics then.

Looks like I got beat by Baller
