Paul Lusk interviewing at MSU

Lusk will be interviewing at MSU tomorrow afternoon. Rumored to be just a formality, Lusk has ties to the area and a graduate degree from MSU most likely Woodberry and Williams would stay on the staff if this was to happen.

That would be a good hire if true.

That would be a good hire and keeping Woodberry would be a wise move. I don't know much about Williams. But it sounds like he's been a valuable piece on staff as well.

He was rumored as a candidate for the Bradley job for a while. He's from the same hometown as my wife.

With Lusk and Williams, they may have to change the name of the school to SIU-Springfield. :D Probably bad news for SIu as Lusk is probably the guy many of them wanted to replace Lowery.

Is it really reasonable to think that Cuonzo wouldn't bring any of his MSu assistants with him to Rocky Top?

He has taken one already, Jon Harris. Whether or not the others have been offered jobs, we don't know.

ESPN Insider's "Rumors" -

UPDATE: According to Lyndal Scranton of the News-Leader, Purdue associate head coach Paul Lusk could be a leading candidate for the Missouri State job now that Matt Painter has decided to stay at Purdue.

...Lusk, whose been [at Purdue] since 2004, would have been a logical possibility for promotion at Purdue. Interestingly, Lusk took over the role of associate head coach for Cuonzo Martin when Martin left for the head coaching job at Missouri State three years ago. Now, he could be in line to follow in Martin's footsteps again.

One who is no longer a candidate for the job is MSU assistant Jon Harris, who was hired Wednesday to join Martin's staff at Tennessee. Martin had shown interest in the position earlier this week.
