I know this is kind of off topic, but i'm very curious. Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder had Creighton as one of his top choices to go to college. Does anyone know how close we were to actually getting him in a Jays uniform?

The UCLA offer was very late (a defection after the season or something). It was looking good until then.

Question on that topic...did he have a growth spurt? His athleticism is ridiculous so I really dont see how bigger schools weren't already on that gravy train. He isn't a shooter who you arent sure his game will translate type.

Late bloomer. Same with the Dudley kid who ended up in the Big East (BC?) and the Harris kid a few years back at Wisconsin who were Creighton leans until they got their one and only BcS offer.
