MVC players in the NBA

How many current NBA players played in the MVC? I am sure someone on here knows and that will save me from having to research it.

Korver, Tolliver, Granger come to mind. Not sure of any others currently.

A better question might be who on a current MVC roster will play in the NBA.

http://basketballreference.com/players/ ... ollege.htm

Anthony Parker - Bradley
Danny Granger - Bradley (transferred to New Mexico)
Kyle Korver - Creighton
Anthony Tolliver - Creighton

I think that's it.

I think there are 3 players who could, Kyle Weems, Doug McDermott and Gregory Echenique.
I think Kyle could develop a better perimeter shooting game and he has a shot and could develop. Dougie, I think if he can continue to develop every year at CU he is an NBA player. And for Echenique, he is big enough, but not tall enough. He wouldn't be a center in the league. He has to develop a face up game.

Stutz could be if he got tougher but probably won't. I don't think it's in his DNA. Weems needs to handle the ball much better. Little Mac has a lot of areas to improve but lots of time to do it. GE just isn't a complete enough player, he's big for this league but not overall and has many weaknesses. Odum will have to be a MUCH better shooter.

If JE can't break into the leauge then Stutz and Echinique have no chance.

I don't think UNI currently has any future NBA players. Kwadzo has a chance to be a bench player but he isn't "current".

Outside of him the next closest that we have is AJ and he is far too small to have a shot.

I don't think it's fair to say that GE won't make the league simply because JE couldn't. Remember, Echenique just finished his sophomore season, so he has time to develop. Jordan made a lot of progress thru his So, Jr, and Sr seasons, and it is my opinion (albeit homerly) that Gregory is a little further along at this stage than Jordan was.

That being said, I'd be surprised to see him make the NBA unless he can add a few more dimensions to his game.

Jordan had the ability to step out and shoot, something GE does not have...and that isn't something that is easy to add. Jordan had amazing touch on his shots.

Had Jordan had a pissed off attitude on the court he would have been unstoppable, but he was slightly pussy on the court..

JE isn't in the NBA because he can't jump. The NBA loves 7 footers, but you need more than a six inch vertical leap to go with the 7 foot body. Egleseder was good at taking up space, with his height, he could alter shots. He could also knock down a three every now and then. He was dangerous in the Valley. Not being able to jump makes you much less dangerous in the NBA. I don't know if Echineque will ever sniff an NBA court, but he has the NBA look and he can jump. If he could add a 6-10 foot jump shot to his game, he just might do it. There is nothing he can do about being a few inches too short for a post position in the NBA. I doubt he will make it.
