MVC players/coaches who use twitter?

Postby MVCfans » August 23rd, 2011, 10:34 am

Trying to figure out which players and coaches of Valley mens basketball teams are twitter users. If anyone follows certain guys, post their handles here. Or if you keep a personal twitter account, you're welcome to share as well. Once basketball season starts, I think it could be pretty fun to get their perspective on things.

Not going to take the time to link all of these, but here are some MVC players/coaches I've run across. Most of them are obviously UNI related

Ben Jacobson--never tweets
Chris Lowery
Greg McD
Doug McD
Greg Echenique (spelling IDK)
Jake Koch
Anthony James
Ali Farokhmanesh
Adam Koch---used to tweet all the time, but stopped

Derek Netten and Ben Johnson from the UNI staff both are good follows, as far as UNI is concerned.

Coach Jans tweets quite a bit. Coach Dollar has one as well and goes through phases. Coach Ford also tweets a decent amount.

Not sure on players as I haven't really looked into that. I believe Ron Baker has one. I might check on the others at a later time.

Ali never used to tweet, but has been like crazy lately.

Anthony James, Seth Tuttle, Chris Olivier, Matt Bohannon, Jevon Lyle, and Deon Mitchell all havetwitter as well, used to tweet all the time but has now stopped.

It seems like the twitter ban on the football team has extended all the way to all the sports. The day the reports of the FB ban went out was the last day any UNI athlete tweeted

I guess he's not here anymore is he. My bad. Jans and Ford and Heier. Heier is the other one I meant to list. Dollar did tweet though. :)

It must be...I hadn't noticed that the basketball players stopped tweeting too. I am friends with non-football/basketball athletes who are still tweeting tho. I wonder what rule has actually been laid down, and by whom

I know that Phelps is on twitter, but doesn't tweet much. Several of the Drake players have twitter accounts.
