Great to see. He could be our version of Jimmer before it's all done.

It's good for the Valley. But I don't really understand why it was McDermott and not Weems? Especially since they both pretty much played the same position last year.

Both great MVC players but I don't think there is much doubt that Weems had the better year in 2010/2011. I see the logic in that McDermott was just a freshman last year and I'm sure the thought is that he will really improve in this coming year. BUT Weems has improved every single year so far in his college career....

Nothing against McDermott. He's a very good player and barring injury he'll have a great career.

So for the student's four year college career, you would take Weems over McDermott? Not me but then everyone is welcome to their own opinions.

Four year career? These all american teams are not lifetime achievement awards. They are per year. Pre season is based on the prior year.

Not sure who I would take for a 4 year career. I might take McDermott but it would be really close. Kyle Weems has a shot to be MSU's all time leading scorer and you just don't see many better years (all around) than he had last year. But of course I'm a homer for the Bears LOL.

I won't be the least bit shocked if McDermott has a better year than Weems. In fact, I expect that to be the case.

Exactly, per year. And I don't think Weems will have a better year than McDermott and apparently neither do the "experts".
