Which unproven player will most impact your team?

For WSU, I think Carl Hall is the key as we seem to have good guard depth and Stutz is what he is. The loss of Durley and how well we can replace him will probably determine how our season goes.

Jarmar Gulley...he is replacing Mallett at the 3 and we need him to score. We have 2 other jucos and a DI transfer who will play but I think Gulley will make the most impact.

I would say for CU, it would have to be Austin Chatman. HIghly regarded freshman needs to be able to hold his own at the PG spot to allow Young to both rest and slide over to the 2 at times. Two very quick guards on the floor along with Gonzaga tranfer Gibbs and McDermott and Echenique at the 4 and 5 could be a pretty dangerous lineup.

Austin Pehl. He's not yet proven himself, and while I don't expect he will ever be all-anything, he needs to be consistant and productive. He doesn't need to go out and pull a double-double every night, but he needs to be tough on defense and "serviceable" on offense.

I'm going with Ehimen. He needs to be able to play 15 minutes or so a game to relieve Stutz inside. All he has to do is rebound and be a defensive presence. Anything more than that is gravy.

That would easily have to be freshman Nic Moore for the redbirds. He was the runner-up Mr. Basketball in Indiana and ISU is in need of a good PG. From what we have seen so far in Canada, the kid looks like the real deal, but it seems like he is starting to develop a little bit of an injury history.

A very close second would be our new shooting guard Tyler Brown (who chose ISU over WSU). The redbirds lack in scoring and this kid can supposedly bring it. Another worry for him is that he can be either extremely hot or extremely cold (no in between).

For Drake, I'll go with Kraidon Woods. He played about 12-15 minutes per game last season, but will have to step up this year with Van Deest's injury. He's a former Villanova signee, but he's never lived up to his "potential". He's a senior now....time for him to step up his game.

For MSU I agree with TNMSUFAN on Jarmar Gulley. I think he'll step right into Mallet's shoes and give us a huge lift immediately.

With the amount of youth on UNI's team I am going to have to go with more than 1:

Deon Mitchell-needs to be able to step into the PG and at least provide Johnny Moran with a capable sub

2 of the posts have to combine for a solid, not spectacular, interior play combo to allow Jake Koch to stay at the 4. We have about 4-5 candidates for inside, have to be able to find who can split the time there.

For Creighton, I believe it will be whoever starts at the three. Whether it be Josh Jones, Ethan Wragge, Grant Gibbs or the freshman Avery Dingman, we need to get some really solid production at the three.
