Does every school offer their own webcast for basketball games? How much does each school charge per game or for season access?

Creighton offers online webcasts of some of the games for 11 bucks a month or 35 bucks for 4 months. The webcasts have gotten better over the years but still are subpar. I wish the MVC did something like Horizon and offer all the games online. Seems like the MVC is behind the curb when it comes to webcasts and TV contracts.

Didn't the MVC recently add new cameras to all MVC arenas? I think it had something to do with clock questions at the end of games....i.e., did the shot get off in time?

Could these cameras help make it easier to stream games?

Incorrect. The MVC doesn't do a whole lot of that kind of stuff precisely because it has TV contracts.

The Horizon has terrible TV deals, and that is whey they can show all their games online. The MVC has deals with ESPN and FOX to put a bunch of games on TV.

I think ours is $10 a month. I have heard they have had their issues in the past, but it sounds like they have recently added an HD element. I will probably at least subscribe for November since a lot of our later home games are on Comcast.

Does anyone know what is happening with Valley Live? Their website shows they are broadcasting the football games between SDSU and WIU. Maybe they could show MVC games as well.

To answer the questions...

Each valley school offers their own webcasts at their own individual prices.

The cameras added to each arena are strictly for officials/administrative uses. These cameras have nothing to do with webcasting.

It is accurate that because of television, there are games that are not available through webcasts. To mimic a setup like the horizon league has is a very tough thing to when taking television into consideration.

Valley Live hosts live contest that the league produces. The Missouri Valley Football Conference is producing their own telecasts online because of not many games being on television. The MVC Postseason tournaments of Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball are all planned for Valley Live broadcasts this year.

I'm not sure about the rest of the schools, but Aces TV isn't bad as far as quality goes. Multiple cameras, score bar, and audio from our radio guys. I think the price last year was $9.99 a month or $60 for the year. I don't have a lot of use for it though since I'm local...
