Drake's starting line-up right now is anybody's guess. There are probably 8-10 guys who have a legitimate chance of starting. The only sure starters are Seth Van Deest and Ryan Wedel.

If I had to guess:

1 - Kurt Alexander, Jr

2 - Ryan Wedel, Sr

3- Rayvonte Rice, Fr

4- Aaron Hawley, Soph

5 - Seth Van Deest, Soph

PG - Antoine Young, Jr
SG - Josh Jones, So
SF - Wayne Runnels, Sr
PF - Ethan Wragge, So
C - Kenny Lawson, Sr

The question is what happens when Echenique becomes eligible.

The answer is he starts. Not the toughest question of all time to be posed. I would guess Wragge sits unless he has learned to guard someone over the summer. Even if he has, I can't see him playing much of the PF ever....more of a 2-3 I think.

WSU

PG Ragland
SG Murry
SF Hatch
PF Durley
C Stutz

Is the most likely lineup, although Williams is probably the PG favorite as of today. My guess is that Ragland gets the nod in 2 months. Kyles, Ellis, Blair and Williams make for a deep and experienced team, barring unexpected problems or injuries and that's without discussing the other new arrivals.

For UNI I think it is pretty easy to say three, but the other two are up in the air.

G-Ahelegbe
G-Moran
F-J Koch

The assumption is that the two seniors, Dunham and O'Rear will move into the starting fold, but I don't know if that will happen or if Jake will want to stick with their bench roles. Of those two, I would guess that Dunham is most likely to start because of his length at the 3.

Other options would be to go with a younger guard like Sonnen, Anthony James, or RS Fr Matt Morrison to fill the Ali spot.

If it is not Lucas in the post, we could go with height in 6'10" Austin Pehl or the younger version of O'Rear, true freshman Chip Rank, who is only 6'6" but plays with a similar tenacity as O'Rear and is a better shooter.

Regardless of who starts, look for the Panthers to continue rolling 10 players out a game.

Indy St is tough to call at this point...it could go a few different ways. My first guess is

1 Jake Kelly
2 Printy or Carter depending on what you need...shooter or a little more athleticism that can do a few more things than shoot
3 Lathan
4 Richard
5 Myles Walker

Then there's this way

1 Jake Odom
2 Jake Kelly
3 Lathan
4 Richard
5 Walker

Or this way (which I kinda like too)

1 Kelly
2 Lathan
3 Richard
4 RJ Mahurin (more of a true PF...plays similar to former CU player Dane Watts)
5 Myles Walker

But like WSU, no matter how you slice the starting lineup there is experience on the bench (Dolouny, Isiah Martin, Carter and Printy if they don't start...Odom and Mahurin should be more Valley ready after their redshirts).

I think there's going to be some really good battles throughout the Valley for PT this year...and some youngin's may end up surprising many...

I think Bradley's will be pretty easy to determine really--at least 4 of 5 spots.

G- Sam Maniscalco, Sr.
G- Dodie Dunson, Sr.
G- Andrew Warren, Sr.
F- Taylor Brown, Jr.
C- Will Egolf, Jr.

Veteran lineup. Only other options would be Dyricus Simms-Edwards a sophomore guard or maybe, Jake Eastman a sophomore guard but I doubt it.

Anytime you start three senior guards you should at least win the league or be right there. If Jim Les doesn't do it with this group then he never will.

Il St.

For now, it is so up in the air however...

G - Kenyon Smith or Anthony Cousin
G - Alex Rubin
G - Austin Hill, maybe Justin Clark
F - Tony Lewis
C - Jackie Carmichael

The lineup will also include John Wilkins and others but we will have to wait and see closer to the start of the season.

G- Alex Rubin/ Kenyon Smith
G- Trey Blue/ Austin Hill
G- Justin Clark/ Spnd Wilkins
F- Tony Lewis
C- Jackie Carmichael

The starting forward center is very set in place. The backups are young a RS Freshman in Jon Ekey and a Frosh is Jordan Threloff and possibly RS Zeke Upshaw but he is more likely a 3.

For WSU I think Williams will get the initial nod at the point. As far as C and PF, Durley and Stutz rarely played at the same time last year (it was happening more often towards the end of the season), so I wouldn't be surprised to still see Blair at the PF. At least to start the year...
