A little humiliation in front of the home crowd would be appropriate. They sell costumes just for that purpose.

Plus a one week suspension from all team activities.

Some guy got punched in the face. That happens. It's bad when it involves a basketball player, but this isn't like breaking down a door and punching out a former girl friend.

The part that got my attention was that it was at 2 AM Sunday morning. Gee, do you think alcohol might be involved here?

If the players are going out and partying all night on weekends, they need more conditioning drills - or discipline. Both of those indicate they need better coaching.

It strikes fear in my heart to type that last paragraph for fear that some WSU player is doing the same thing, but just hasn't been caught - yet.

Aargh, your comment about needing better coaching is based upon your assumptions.

We don't know what the whole story is yet so instead of rushing to judgement let's get the whole story. I will admit it doesn't look good from what we know which is why Jank has put them on indefinte suspension. You are also assuming Jank knows where his players are and what they are doing at all times. I am certain the coach of your team knows all - all of the time but I am also just as certain that none of the other Valley coaches do when it comes to knowing where all of their players are 24/7.

Jank & the new AD have heard loud and clear about the weak nonconference schedule. Jank can be held accountable for playing a lot of RPIs of 300+. Maybe we can hold him accountable for a really lousy performing team last year. One thing we do know, he has not made a practice of recruiting thugs and bad actors. This is a unique situation under Jankoviches' watch so let's see how it plays out.
