I don't know why any WSU fan would come to this site anymore with the constant digs that everyone likes to take. I guess I must just like the punishment....

That's exactly the same thing I was thinking BB. That's the same Norfolk St. team that ISU's Birds waxed by something like 30 points earlier in the season.

As for WSU's troubles yeasterday, I was pretty suprised at the deer in headlights reaction to a good VCU press. IMHO it's not Valley foes that you should be worried about. It was a good season for the Shockers with WSU spending some time in the top 20 and getting alot of positive publicity for the school.

It's the NCAA opening round, and upsets happen...ask the Missouri TIgers today. VCU is a good team that had a game plan that worked. The Shockers mounted a big comeback and had a shot, but it didnt happen.

Right now I'm seeing the Valley go 2-0 over SEC teams in the past couple days, so I'd say the MVC battlegrounds are indeed preparing our teams to go out and win post season games.

If I was a Shocker fan I wouldn't like it either. But there are shots taken at all the fanbases. It just seems to go in cycles. There isn't any anti Shocker bias. Good lord almost everyone on this board was pulling for the Shockers in the NCAA tourney.

Not a dig at WSU at all. Maybe more of a response to the other thread if anything. My answer is....yes, the valley does prepare our teams to play in the NCAA tournament just as well as any other conference prepares their teams(hence the sarcastic title). As for WSU, they were simply not prepared to handle VCU's pressure. It doesn't mean they are a bad team or the valley is a bad conference or the valley doesn't prepare themselves for the NCAA any better or worse than say the Big 12 prepares their teams for a hot Norfolk St. team. It's all relative. I think anyone who watches college bball should know that it is all about the matchups. Going into this game everyone knew this was a tough draw for WSU. Did valley play prepare them for the NCAA tourney....yes. Did the valley prepare them for VCU? We don't have any teams that play like VCU. Did a good WSU team that is capable of preparing for VCU do well enough to prepare themselves. no. It's simple.

or was Marshall not prepared to play his Senior earlier. Whatever Marshall was saving Stutz for he waited too long. WSU is a better team with Stutz in and Marshall didn't trust a senior not to pickup a his last 2 fouls. Marshall's mistake.
