Daniels (and now Setty) leaving SIU

Didn't see a thread and figured it was noteworthy enough to post. If rumors are true it's really too bad for a new coach to lose his best player.

So everyone else wants to leave because CLow is still there, but apparently Daniels is the one player who wants to leave because CLow is gone.

Terrible loss for SIU and the Valley. Was very good this year, and could easily have been great for SIU.

Rumors are that Freshman Treg Setty has also asked for his release. Losing Daniels and Setty together would be quite a blow for Barry Hinson to start his time at SIU.

In a way, these defections might not be all bad for Coach Hinson.

Doubtless, the culture was one of pessimism and defeatism.

Clean out the barn as my dad might say.

It will take a year longer to re-establish the program, but Coach Hinson will suffer a lot less brain damage.
