Ron Baker out 6 Weeks

Reports on Shockernet that WSU has lost another starter. Baker out 6 weeks with a stress fracture in his foot. That would be four starters so far this year that have gone/been out for more than three games. Going to have to show their depth now.

He redshirted last year, so I don't believe he is eligible.

I believe you would have to petition the NCAA for a sixth year and if I remember correctly they will only grant the sixth year in "extreme" cases. Choosing to redshirt your true freshman year and a six week injury in your redshirt freshman year wouldn't fall into that category I believe. I may be wrong, but I believe that is correct.

someone posed the question earlier about "how would you be if you lost your best player?" Well, we now get to see how the Shox are with three of their starters gone for 4-6 weeks, including the best player Carl Hall. The starting center (Orupke) just coming back from injury and still limping around at half speed. Time to take the training wheels off Lufile and Wiggins, we need them to step up in a bad way. It's not like Armstead, Williams and Cotton are lighting the world on fire anyway. This is a serious blow to the shox.

Wessel - broken finger, unknown when/if he's having surgery
Hall - broken thumb, out 4-6 weeks
Orupke - sprained ankle, back in play, probably not 100%
Baker - stress fracture, out 6 weeks
