Agree 100% with Marshall as COY, given the injuries the Shockers had to deal with, and how they slugged it out to get to 2nd place finish.

Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year:
Dyrcus Simms-Edwards, Bradley
Others Considered: Gregory Echenique, Creighton; Walt Lemon Jr, Bradley

A relentless defender, Simms-Edwards led the MVC with 84 steals, placing him 7th nationally at 2.71 steals per game.

Carmichael leads the league in Rebounding and Blocks, but that doesn't even warrant consideration?

Maybe if kicking stats were important.

COY pretty easy choice. Marshall says some things that he probably shouldn't say, but It's kind of entertaining, and I would love him if he was my team's coach. Barry has done good things at SIU but you can't give coach of the year to the last place team. As clearly as Doug will be POY, Marshall will be COY. Really can't disagree with any of your other picks also.

Maybe if he kicks a little harder he will knock unconscious and put some sense in y'all.

The poster who claims Marshall practiced for Carmichael's kick and Cotton knew it was coming is telling others to make sense. Gotcha.

Now we're devising t-shirts out of it? Gee, guess it was kind of a big deal after all, wasn't it?

I don't know, you would have to ask whoever made the t-shirts. I'm just the messenger but I do approve of the t-shirt's creation and maybe you will be lucky enough to see them in Saint Louis.

 Nothing to disagree with here. Great choices. The all valley team will be tougher though. Lots of deserving and talented players this year.

My 1st, 2nd, and HM teams will be out this morning. Some movement after we discussed this on the radio show after I went back and gave a little more time to researching.
