Scheduling question

Postby BUFANATIC79 » July 21st, 2013, 4:57 pm

Is there a certain date for the MVC schedule to be released? All I heard is later this summer.. Haven't been this excited for a Bradley season in a couple years

Do MVC schools have non-conference schedules released yet?

Usually non-con comes out in mid August. And the full schedule is released sometime in September

Conference schedules should be a lot easier this year, as we're down to two buildings that aren't controlled by the University. The Century Link Center is an incredibly busy building and not having to find 9 dates in there should save a ton of time.

I assume Evansville is the biggest hurdle at this point, because I don't believe Carver Arena's scheduling demands are quite as rigorous...

Always tons of cattle judging contests, tractor pulls and monster truck events in the winter months in Omaha! 80000 unemployed cornhuskers have to have something to do on a nightly basis in Omaha.

The hockey team gets first right I believe for dates at Carver Arena over Bradley so maybe a few hurdles from us. Also determines Saturday night games for us, which is something I complain about as that's when you get the best attendance

I liked how ISU played against Creighton on a Friday night at Redbird a few years ago. They play to many games at home on Wednesday nights. I think they should always have the Bradley/SIU games on Saturday afternoon. And the bigger games on a Friday night or Saturday night

I really hate Tuesday/Friday games. Those nights should be left to High School unless national TV (not FSN, ESPN3) come calling.

Totally agree. I know it's only about 45 minutes or so to Normal but I would imagine the night game during the week turns off some fans from traveling to the game, work, school, etc.
