Official 2013-14 MVCfans.com Prediction - 5th Place

We are now halfway through the MVC after the Aces were voted as the likely 6th place finisher (results: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3261 )

Each week we will open a poll for users to predict the end of season finish for the MVC 2013-14 basketball season. We will work in reverse order, concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9.

I'm going with Bradley. But I'd prefer for this to be MoSt.

I thought this was the most difficult pick up so far. I considered Ford's coaching compared to Lusk and thought I should vote for BU. Then I looked at the talent. BU lost some players. MoSt gained some players. I had to go with MoSt's talent over Ford's coaching.

After all that mental work, I guess I overworked my brain. I voted for MoSt because I thought they'd edge out BU for 4th.

Whoops.

It's BU, MSU or UNI at this point.

Tyshon Pickett and Walt Lemon Jr.

VS

Deon Mitchell and Seth Tuttle

VS

Marcus Marshall and Jamar Gully and Keith Pickens

It's down to BU and UNI.

Both teams look pretty thin to me after their stars....I'm giving a slight edge to UNI based on coaching and last year's finish, in comparison to BU. 3-7 is a total toss up this year unless someone has a bunch of studs they are hiding.

I agree with the previous poster that it's down to BU, UNI and MSU. You can pretty much flip a coin in my book. I went with Bradley here but only for war on 74 reasons.

MSU gets the vote. I'm taking BUs talent and superior coaching over MSUs young talent and questionable coaching.

I have UNI penciled in for 3rd due to some returning talent and one of the best coaches in the conference.

I don't think there's any way to include UNI in the conversation for 5th. Probably not for 4th either. Jacobsen has proven more than a few times that he can get it done.
