Bradley favored by 10.5 I fear the game might be closer. Hopefully Walt takes over and the newcomer Grier continues to shoot well. 7pm central tip.

Couldn't shake the Chips completely and need to get better on D.

That said, BU dominated the boards, with 12, 10, 10 and 8 in the individual rebound column.

Pickett and Barnes both post dub-dubs.

Bradley is talented and deep. This game was never in doubt regardless of the mere 10-point final margin. It all comes down to chemistry and toughness. We shall see.

Solid performance by Bradley. 50-28 rebounding advantage.

Keno Davis' team basically shot 3 point shots. They weren't falling (6-30), so it wasn't much of a game.

I think it helped that Bradley had a former CMU player (Austin Barnes - 13 pts, 10 rebs) on their team to keep the energy level up. They didn't get stuck on a number in the second half and allow the Chippawas to make a run.

This was the first game I was able to attend and it looks like Bradley's new big men are very good. Auston Barnes was a steal and has a knack for making plays and coming up with loose balls. He and Grier are the shooters Bradley has been lacking. Taylor and Blake play great defense under the basket and I think both had a couple blocks, although there were a couple occasions they neglected to help on drives and Taylor had a real boneheaded over and back violation. All in all, Bradley is much longer and more athletic than last year. No more Jake Eastman playing the 4 *shudder*. I'm not impressed so far with Fields, Swopshire (who on paper was our best recruit) and Zecevic. None contributed anything and Zecevic airballed a 3 and missed both FTs.

The problem is turnovers. Bradley should've won by 20+ last night but turned it over a lot against the full court press and on inbounds plays. 19 turnovers is unacceptable. The team is very young and sloppy now but I see no reason why they can't finish in the top half. This game was never in doubt with the BU lead between 10-17 most of the way so maybe that contributed to lack of focus. Still, need to clean that up.

Hopefully BU gets a big lead early on Friday vs Chicago State so they can give minutes to the deep bench and rest our starters up for the big game Sunday in Champaign. 5 games in 10 days is brutal, and Prosser just made it worse with his 4 game suspension.
