What is going on in Wichita?

I despise the shocks as much as anyone but has anyone else noticed the level of winning across their athletic department right now? Sexton has things really going over there. Who would have thought shocker Baseball would be their struggling program. Congrats shocks you have had an incredie year.

Believe it or not - Some WSU fans refuse to give Sexton credit for the current success of the athletic dept. He is more of a behind the scenes type guy. IMHO - he's done an awesome job hiring the right people and keeping the coaches happy (Marshal specifically).

And many of you laughed when the quote from Jim Harrick was posted 10 years ago about WSU being a sleeping giant. Well, he ain't sleeping any more. In fact, the giant is laughing hysterically as he walks away with a ton of hardware.

Congrats to WSU for winning yet another All Sports trophy. I believe that is #20.
Wichita beat writer is wondering whether InSU is WSU's potential rival.

MSU would be the most logical. Solid program with geographic proximity. And unlike ISUb, they're going to be good in the future in basketball.

ISUb being a rival because they finished second in the All Sports runner up shows how tough it is to find something to write about in the offseason.
