Haven't heard a whole lot about Holland lately. Is he expected to play a big role this year?

It wasn't originally expected that he would play big minutes, but it had become apparent that he was performing at a high level over the last month. He's only 6-0, 150 and he's a SG, not a PG so there was suggested limitations by sheer size. He's quick, an excellent shooter, and is a great dunker. He also understands the offense and works hard on D.

Right now he's the #1 guard off the bench, but Evan played forward today. Not sure how the minutes will break down, but our back-up backcourt will be Henderson, Holland, and Wessel at some point.

He red shirted last year. I think there was at least hope he would be a contributor.

If he continues to play like he did in the exhibition game, I would think so. Obviously he was incredible shooting, but that isn't sustainable. More importantly, he had an extremely high motor and he played unselfishly, which will always work well for someone in Marshall's system.

The problem, obviously, is that he's very small. But he impressed me with his non-shooting attributes in that game.

Baker just toyed with his defender at the end of the first half, then drained a 3-ball on him as time ran out. Just not fair.

Wichita State would take 1st and 2nd in the Valley this year.

I know Bears fans like to make fun of Shocker fans for making this statement the year SWOMO won the Valley, but I feel pretty confident making that statement this year.

14 Shocker players scored and only one player cracked the 20-point mark.

HOWEVER, let's get this straight. WSU will not go through the regular season undefeated. Given the parity in talent and quality of coaching across college basketball, especially in the MVC, we may never see a team go undefeated in the regular season in this modern era. What are the odds?
