Everyone's in action Saturday, so lets take a look at the slate.
UAB (4-3) vs. Illinois State (3-5)
Time to start turning the corner for ISU. They've played the brutal part of their schedule, and that's behind them... so lets see if they can learn anything. A very winnable game at home. Let's see if they take care of business.
Indiana State (3-3) vs. Butler (5-1)
Butler is a dangerous team with terrific shooting (has scored 144, 93, and 89 points in games this year), but their defense hasn't caught up to their offense yet. This will be a tough one for Indiana State. Butler is 2-0 at home.
Creighton (5-2) vs. Loyola (4-3)
Another efficient offensive team that the Valley has to contend with on Saturday, Loyola is going to have their hands full. Creighton has put up 93, 103, 85, 97, and 97 already this year, and only blemishes have been to Indiana and Arizona State. Tough challenge for Loyola.
Missouri State (1-5) vs. Oklahoma State (5-2)
Oklahoma State has losses to George Mason and Tulsa, but have taken care of business against the weaker teams on their schedule. They should follow suit on Saturday against Missouri State.
Drake (4-3) vs. Bowling Green (5-2)
Bowling Green is 5-2, but haven't really beaten anyone yet. A loss to North Dakota shows a team like Drake can come in and get one, and I think Drake wins this game.
Northern Iowa (5-1) vs. Richmond (4-3)
Richmond has a couple of good wins on their schedule, beating Wake Forest and Cal already this year. This will be the matchup of the weekend, but I believe Northern Iowa takes one here. Richmond scheduled well this year. Will be a fun one to watch.
Southern Illinois (7-1) vs. North Texas (2-5)
Should be a cakewalk for SIU. Althought North Texas had the lead at halftime over UNI, UNI provided the road map, and Southern should read it and have no trouble here. It's a road game so anything can happen, but the Salukis should emerge victorious.
North Dakota (3-4) vs. Bradley (1-7)
North Dakota's schedule is terrible, and I don't think their team is any better, but I don't think Bradley has figured it out yet. Hoping the Braves can pull this one out as it's one of their more winnable games, but Bradley hasn't shown me they can win this game yet. It's rare for me to say this, but let's go Bradley...
Evansville (6-1) vs. Murray State (5-3)
As someone else stated previously, this is Murray State's first of 3 in a row against the Valley. Unfortunately for them they're up against an Evansville team who will be ready for them. I'm saying Evansville by double digits here.
Wichita State (2-4) vs. Saint Louis (4-2)
Saint Louis has lost to Louisville and Morehead State. Their wins are over nobody's. This should be one that Wichita State can snag, but given the uncertainty going on with the Shockers on the floor right now, who knows. Does FVV play Saturday? Pulling for the Shockers here to pull themselves out of their funk.
