What's Up With the Bears?

Ids LUsk trying to save his job or something? The Bears are starting to look good. Blowing out a pretty salty Oral Bob team at the half: 43-22. Oral Bob is 6-3 with a SoS of 25.

I was at the game. These last 5 games we look like a totally different team. We haven't won all of those games but we've been in them all.

Bears basketball is fun to watch again. No more painfully slow apathetic offense like last year. Lots of athletes and guys that play hard.

The freshmen are really good and the veterans like Boone and Kendrix have stepped up their game. I think it's possible we surprise a lot of people in the conference season.

Sorry if I'm gushing over my team but I'm just astounded by how much better we are than last year. Another big test coming up this weekend when we play Valpo on the road.

Nice front court stats last night! Boone had 27 and 7, Church had 9 and 7, and McCullough had 6 and 5 off the bench. MSU also added 5 blocks. Well done!

Someone remind me why ORU-MSU are playing a home - home series in the span of a month basically.

Because unlike the Illinois schools, they don't have 50 teams within easy bus distance.

Seriously, this is your response? Come on CDizzle. It's Division 1 basketball, not D3 water polo...they have the budget to travel a bit further. It's a legit question that you mocked a Redbird fan for.

It is a legit question. And so is my answer. No way what I said could be taken as mocking the poster. The MSU program, perhaps, but not the poster.

They don't have a budget. If they had a budget, it wouldn't have taken 4 years to get locker rooms in their arena and they wouldn't still have Lusk.

If they have no budget, etc etc etc, then rather than play Oral Roberts twice play a buy game against a Power 5 team to increase funding instead.
