You are 100% correct. I'm worried about some matchup problems. Siakam is 6'9 and very talented. He's on the Malone (i think that's the name) Award Finalist list. They also bring in 6'10 and 7 footer. Wessel will probably get matched up with Siakam at times. That's big height disadvantage. With how WSU's shooting has been, this could be an intesting matchup and probably closer than it should be. To make matters worse, Baker was out of practice yesterday with the flu or something (throwing up). He's supposed to play, but he's already looked "off" for a while. Playing on 2 days rest for everyone (including NMSU) should be interesting.

I wouldn't sweat it, and actually I think getting Baker some rest would be a good thing.

Don't settle for outside shots, drive the paint and win the game with the difference in free throws and you'll win by double digits.

Don't think this NMSU team will be able to handle the atmosphere in Wichita coming from the crowds they've been playing in front of lately.

Now, if you let the inside presence intimidate you and settle for the 3, then you're rolling the dice this game which you can't afford to do.

That would be my gameplan, but I haven't seen it the last few games. Fred has forced a lot, and hasn't gotten calls this year like he did in his first few years. Either way, we need Fred/Ron/Conner to shoot better than 24% like they averaged in the ISU and UNI games.
