NCAA recognizes Bradley hoops for academic performance

Love headlines like this.

For the second straight year, BU is the only men's hoops team in the Valley and the state of Illinois to receive the NCAA APR award, but plenty of other Valley schools had other sports teams make the list. BU leads in total amount of teams, with 7, including MVC champ women's cross country and men's golf. Loyola placed 6.

For the second-straight year, Bradley is the only men’s basketball program in the Missouri Valley Conference and the state of Illinois to receive the honor. The team earned the accolade for the second time in the 13-year history of the APR program.

(Editor: Valparaiso did receive this recognition last season, which was their final year in the Horizon League)

This is great. I liked Jimmy and Geno, but there’s no denying Wardle has done an A+ job building culture (and rebuilding on the court).

Congrats Bradley. Normally I don’t say that, but academic honors are the thing that will help out after graduation. :buddies:
