Multiple early season tournaments key to strong OoC schedule

First off, congrats to Valpo and the Trees. You have made the select early season tournaments that ESPN mentioned. But a small detail that caught my eye was that Hawaii is playing in multiple tournaments early on. They have the potential to play multiple top teams in their OoC schedule just on these tournamentS alone. Maybe some MVC teams should start their own tournaments and invite repectful teams as well as trying to join other tournaments. Genius!!!

Yes, because all our cities are such tropical destination sites between Thanksgiving and New Years!

It's easier for nice places. Illinois State had their own tournament for 3/4 years. They got the likes if morehouse and teams like that. A bunch of 3/4 quadrant teams

I'm pretty sure Hawaii is actually burning 3 full non-conference games playing that 2nd tournament. Since the Big West season is 16 games though, that gives them a little wiggle room.

I don't think anyone burning 18 of their 28 games in conference play can afford to burn 3 of the remaining 10 in a 3-day span for any tournament, no matter how good it is.
