Nick Norton will turn some heads - makes everyone around him better. Drake outpaces expectations again.

I think this is less about Drake being bad and more the rest of the Valley being elevated significantly talent wise.

I think the Bulldogs will finish 3rd or 4th. May even be better than last year.

I think the coach has been around the Valley and Valley type teams plenty. I am impressed with the assistants record. A lot of players with something to prove. I believe Loyola and SIU could be on top.

This year I think there will be a lot of surprises, as usual. A lot of close games, you have to be on the right side at the end. I have a lot of respect and enjoy watching all the teams. Looking forward to seeing some of the teams in person in the pre-conference season.

Certainly expect for people to pick us somewhere in the PIG, wouldn't have shocked me with a few more 9th & 10th place picks. First year overhauls can be brutal sometimes; and the league is unforgiving to new coaches and teams[ ask Valpo]. I have no idea how well we'll play by conference season; with only 10 scholy players available this year and seven of them have not ever played a D-1 game, any injuries and we'll be hard pressed to overcome them let alone our inexperience. Just taking the year for what it presents and smiling while the roster gets better and better for next year.

If Drake finishes 3rd or 4th I will buy you a beer in STL in March.

I'll take you up on it. One thing for certain it seems we always play Bradley or SIU in St. Louis no matter what spot we finish in.
