Sycamore Sellout Saturday

Sycamores celebrate their iconic Final 4 team 40 years ago by playing a reigning Final 4 team on ESPNU.

Here is the schedule of events for the afternoon -- An afternoon at Hulman Center that will not soon be forgotten! Please note that if you bring toilet paper into Hulman Center, NCAA rules today are much different than 40 years ago so please do not launch it until the students do at the finale of the post game ceremony.

A full line of retro Indiana State Basketball is available online now and will be delivered to your doorstep prior to the January 19 game. You can find that for online ordering HERE.

Article also has videos of ‘79 games.

This seems like a can’t-miss event as a basketball fan. Gonna drive down and buy off stubhub.

I'll be making the trek to Terra Haute for this one. Any recommendations on pregame drinks and postgame food?

Gotta give ‘em credit, those videos are really fun to watch. Especially if you remember that team because you were alive back then!

Hope they get every seat filled. :bounce:

Beyond your chain places in my journeys the Copper bar is top notch for both. Problem is that it is small and fills up quick. I ate once at a local pub called Charlies and another time at a place called Sonkas. Sonkas is closer and was good. Charlies was a bit further and fantastic.

I would give a second nod to Sonkas. Great beer selection. Moggers is another great choice downtown.
