3-way tie for 1st, 4-way tie for 2nd

3 different states can wake up Monday morning chanting “We’re #1” while folks in Chicago, Des Moines, Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, Carbondale, Peoria, & Cedar Falls frantically run back-of-the-envelope scenarios for a pathway to the title.

It's a 4 way tie for 4th but that's splitting hairs.

Current seedings

1- MSU vs 8-Valpo/9-ISUb (ouch, no thanks!)
4- BU vs 5- SIU

2- LCU vs 7-UNI/10-UE
3- DU vs 6 ISUr

Valpo has one of the easiest schedules left, need them to go on a run here. I think SIU can fall into that 8th seed.

No, Duo has it right. The MVC website is just showing it as best overall record, but the tiebreaker is still the same. Best “round robin” record and right now that would be:

MO State 2-1
Loyola 2-2
Drake 1-2

Now if this remains tied then it would come down to the last game in Springfield. If Drake won to tie it then we would all be 2-2 and it would be best NET rating. That would most likely make it: Loyola, Drake, MO State in that scenario.

Will wait for Hacksaws chart today, but I feel like there will be more scenario’s where the Bears are 1st or 3rd than 2nd.

Bottom line though, lot of ball still to be played, but a very exciting race for sure! At both the top and for the avoid Thursday pile!
