At least the SIU on stuff is still relevant. While t-shirts aren't that bad, jackets and sweaters get expensive, but it's all the the little decorative stuff from stickers to license plates to banners etc. that in the end nickle and dime ya to death.
I apologize for the tangent from the topic here, but BEARZ77 how do MSU fans feel about the bear logo on the court being so huge? My wife and I always comment on it's size each time we watch one of MSU's home games. And not in a good way. Just curious how the home fans feel about it.
I can't speak for other Bears fans, but I love the Bearhead logo so much that the more it's used and the bigger it is - the better. And if having a giant centercourt logo keeps us from ever getting one of those dumb gimmick court designs, all the better.
In regards to the SIU logo, it's decent enough. It's not my favorite logo ever, but the last one, quite frankly, was super ugly while this one is modern, clean, and doesn't look similar to other dog related logos in college sports. That's one of the reasons I like the Bearhead logo so much - "Bears" is a pretty common mascot, but our logo isn't just some random bear that looks like every other college team that goes by the Bears/Bruins. Salukis may be one of a kind, but dogs in general aren't unique as far as mascots go, but this logo is uniquely SIU.
I will say, though, that the video SIU released that went through all their past logos was cool. The first two logos that SIU had that were just letters overlayed with each other are my favorite. Actually, from 1888 to 1963 SIU logos were pretty great. Then the worst one is the one from 1977 to 2000.
