With the loss of Drake's starting backcourt (Norton and Wilkins), the Bulldogs are down to 7 scholarship players for the MVC tourney and whatever post-season tourney they might get in to. One of those 7 hasn't played in about a month.

Definitely cannot afford any kind of foul trouble.

That sucks. If Southern doesn't win it, I was pulling for Drake, as they're the most deserving team based on the season they've had.
Hard to see them winning three in three days now.

Piece of cake compared to what Wilkins already battled back from. Congrats DJ on an incredible freshman season! He and the Murphy twins had lots of supporters at Valpo!

I feel so bad for DJ. What a sad end to an incredible freshman year. Much like his team, his individual performance shattered any expectations for the year.

Here's a shameless plug for why he's the best freshman in the conference:

- Per game stats 11.1 pts, 3.0 reb, 2.8 ast, 2 to
- Stepped up big time when Norton went down (credit to Noah as well)
- Started on the 1st place Valley team (AJ Green, for example, finished 6th in the conference, 14-17 overall)
- He's one of the best stories in college basketball this year as he went from possibly never playing again, to earning a single scholarship offer, to being crowned Valley Freshman of the Year by me.

Hes not the best Freshman in the conference. I don't know why fans feel the need to do this. He had a really good season. He's a really good player. But he isn't better than AJ Green and he may not be better than Freeman from Valpo. And that's ok.
