Good luck, and hopefully they will be the third MVC team to win it in the last 10 years.

2010 - Missouri State
2015 - Evansville

and 2016 adopted MVC school Murray State

If McGlynn doesn't go, we may get a preview of what next year's version of the Drake may look like. Based on their Arch Madness performance (without their point guard no less) still pretty dangerous.

It's just good to have another valley team playing postseason basketball. It makes it more interesting.

It would give us a look of what about half of Drake's team next season may look like (5 of next season's 13 schlolarship players). Add in Wilkins returning from injury, two redshirts, three fall signees and 2 more to come in the spring.

I definitely like the core coming back. One of the redshirts (Roman Penn) would have almost certainly started for Drake this season. The three signees from the fall are all very athletic. I expect a juco and a grad transfer to be added this spring.

I would still be shocked to see Drake not fall back a spot or two next year. First Team All League guys don't fall off trees.

Unless Norton is granted an extra season, I agree 100%.....and I think it's extremely unlikely Norton will get an extra year. McGlynn will definitely be missed next season, but the Bulldogs should be deeper and more athletic. I'm thinking middle of the pack right now, but that could certainly change based on who they sign this spring. In this era, I also don't want to assume that Drake won't lose anybody this spring.

Year 2 is always harder than Year 1 but I expect DeVries to do the rebuild the right way and consistently be an upper half team.

On the 11 year anniversary of Drake losing in the NCAA Tournament on an overtime buzzer beater, both the Drake Men and Drake Women lose in overtime today.

McGlynn did not play. FWIW he was "week-to-week" with the injury not healing as fast as they would have hoped. Doesn't matter now.
