Question for Valpo fans and others with a clue about this. From the perspective of an outsider, it seemed Matt Lottich was a promising young coach. I see that Valpo fans are calling for his job, but what about him has led to all this unrest? Personality issues? X's and O's? Public persona? What has happened here?

Yes. Yes. And yes. Honestly I think Lottich will be a good coach. But not here and not yet. Our hand was forced when our top assistant left with Bryce, apparently unwilling to work for our current AD. Matt needed a least a few years of seasoning.

On paper a healthy and experienced 19-20 team with its key additions looked to have top of the Valley potential. Instead the core of the team has looked around, shook their heads and stampeded for the exits.

I was expecting an offseason where maybe nobody was anxious to go. Instead we have 3 gone, Bradford likely and the end might not yet be in site.If the players aren't seeing and buying the future then why should any of the rest of us?

I think your last sentence is the key here. After three years at a school its really no longer the "future" but the present. You can only sell the "future" so long. Someone has to buy eventually.
