Norton's request for a 6th year was denied by the NCAA. Not a big surprise but a shame nonetheless.

He played in 41% of the games and the threshold is 30%. If it was 32% I'd agree he should be granted a 6th season but he wasn't even close. Also, he has already played parts of 5 seasons. He only sat out because he got hurt in his first game one season. No way Norton should have been granted a waiver as his playing time already adds up to 3.5 seasons.

A couple of weeks ago, Nick Norton signed with the LA Lakers G-League team. In his 2nd or 3rd game, he blew out his knee again.
