This one could be a barn burner and an important game for both teams.

The winner will be the team that controls the tempo. UNI likes to play very deliberately (a/k/a slow) and MSU likes to play a at much more rapid clip.

After the tournament win it's hard to pick against UNI in this one.

Critical game for UNI. The Panthers recent performance has put them back into the at large discussion, but they need to take care of business at home to remain part of that conversation. I think we can dictate the tempo, and if we can knock down 3s like we've been doing recently, we have a solid chance to come out with a W. If shots aren't falling... it's going to be a back and forth struggle for 40 minutes.

Free throws will be big in this game.

The unwritten rule on predicitng winners in Valley games is to pick the home team - unless there is a compelling reason not to do that.

I don't see a compelling reason - MSU and UNI are too evenly matched (in my opinion) to pick a roadie win.

This could be a key game for the seedings in St. Louis. UNI has surprised me a bit this year, so I'm predicting MSU and UNI in a battle for 2nd and 3rd in the league. Sorry, BlueJay fans. UNI is looking better than I thought they would look. CU is not.

Kind of a statement game for both teams. MSU can prove that they that have arrived and are ready to contend by beating the two time defending champs on the road. And UNI can prove that Las Vegas wasn't a fluke, and that they should yet again be considered serious contenders in the MVC.

UNI also has the 21 game home winning streak to protect. Should be a very good game.

What a great game on the opening night of conference play! I predict MSU wins a nailbiter.

One key to the game would be if Mallet would show up for a big game. He has 12 points so far on 5 for 5 shooting

Bears up 22-19 with 2:30 left
