Do you think the new AD will look to bring in his/her own men's hoops coach? ;)

Jerry has always been about himself. This isn’t a big surprise. The problem is that it leaves the people who relocated to Carbondale to work for him with a whole lot of uncertainty. I am not so much upset that he left but that it was just this sudden. If he had said he was leaving at the end of the semester and taking a job as a coach somewhere else I’d be OK with that.

He did do some positive things for athletics here, no question, the hires he has brought in have been upgrades over the people Bell brought in, and the Banterra Center deal was also a positive thing for the University. We still have declining enrollment in a region that is also declining economically, though.

Liz Jarnigan deserves a shot at the permanent job as Kill’s second in command, and she has been a positive part of the Kill directorship. I’m concerned a new President and new Chancellor will want their own hire.
