Valley Fans,

You guys on here are awesome! Thanks for all the feedback to our show. We have a special episode of the podcast we just released. This is our preseason preview! We give our official consensus picks for the season, including top 10 and awards.

We also have a great interview. We talk to Lindsey Willhite, contributor to Lindy’s College Basketball preview, where he does a handful of conferences, but specifically the MVC! Awesome conversation with him, I think everyone on here will really enjoy it! We breakdown his preview, including insight from talking to people around the Valley about how things might shake out.

How about picking the Aces to finish FOURTH. Bet a lot of really smart people are having to change their pants about now. I'm still thinking fifth or sixth, but we shall see. Fourth is not out of the question.

A lot of people who are down on the Aces aren't looking at complete versions of our roster. Here's a preview that doesn't list Cunliffe as a starter, and what do you know, they think we'll finish tenth. The Evansville T-Rank page, which is what most people will use as research for their predictions until KenPom gets updated, doesn't have DeAndre Williams listed as part of the roster.

The Aces might not be as good as Evansville fans want, hope, or expect, but they're going to be a lot better than people who aren't paying attention think they're going to be.

I don’t doubt Evansville’s talent. I doubt their coaching.

And just what do you doubt about a coach that has played on a national championship team, been an assistant coach on successful P5 teams, and been an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics? I realize that you have only posted 5 times in 7 years, so I hope I don't have to wait 3 years to get a reply.

You forgot to mention the 11-21 career head coaching record.

You can't pin a guy's record down on him after only one season. Bradley was 5-27 in their first year under Wardle and I think we would all agree that it has worked out pretty well for us.

Wardle had a career record of 95-65 before he got to Bradley.

And he was 14-18 in his first year there too. Not much better than 14-21.
