Congrats to UNI in a hard fought championship. Today at the Drake game Coach Ben Jacobson shook hands with Drake player Anthony Murphy playing his last game after fouling out. A first class fellow.

Congratulations Panthers! Teams who overachieve in March tend to be very good shooting 3’s and rebounding. UNI is 4th in 3FG% and 14th in rebounding margin. Throw in that longer tv timeouts favor a team that rides its starters as much as UNI and this could be a special run for them in a couple weeks.

Thanks for posting, Musiccity. That was a classy move for both men. Tough way to end a great career for A Murphy.

As a UNI fan, I have mixed feelings about the 27 point MOV. On the one hand, should have gone slow sooner and not run it up. I don't think Coach Jake would have kept the starters in that long a couple years ago.
On the other hand, tonight UNI on KenPom's index went from to 45 to 41 and BartTorvik's from 56 to 48, which is largely due to the offensive and defensive efficiency in that game. We are on the bubble, so resume building is huge. Honestly, if we lose on Sunday at the Arch, I think it will pop. Torvik's tourney simulator puts us as 6th team out.
Go Panthers!!

NET jumped all the way to 37 today. I understand your sentiment but you've got to do what you've got to do to put yourself in the best position if something goes sideways in StL. I guarantee Darian and Drake understood completely.
