Decent write up on the Bears and a reasonable projection. May have overlooked Hearvey a bit, who is very talented and versatile at 6'7 and who had a year at D-1 Incarnate Word prior to a year at juco. But overall have done their homework on the Bears.

Looks like 5 MVC teams in their top 144 as I would guess UNI and Loyola are yet to come. Seems about right although there are 2-3 other teams that could make a run as well.

Bradley feels underrated here and even Indiana State slightly. I wonder where UNI and Loyola will be rated.

Probably a bit low for both but Bradley especially needs to get off to better starts both noncon and conference if they want to be a top 40-50 type team. Can't argue with winning the MVC tourney, but can't depend on that either. Need some top 50 teams in order to get multiple bids ; gonna be especially hard if noncon games get scrapped for MVC teams.

Last year Northern Iowa was ranked #1 in the MVC and # 86 in this poll.

I'd expect Loyola in the 50s and UNI somewhere between 35-50. The league has a chance to be really, really good this year.

I don't think the gulf between UNI and Loyola is that large. I would be surprised if the rankings and prognosticators put too much separation between the two. I will give UNI the edge but it's very close. I think it's like this:

Tier 1: UNI Loyola

Tier 2: Bradley

Tier 3: SIU Valpo ISUb Missouri State

Tier 3.5: Drake (Really debated putting them in tier 3 but I think the loss of Robbins really hurts them and I'm not sure if they've adequately replaced him or if you even can adequately replace him.

Tier 4: ISUr UE (But both of these teams will be improved from last year.)

That's actually a really good write up on Bradley. Bradley has the potential to be just as good as they have been the last 2 years, but will depend on all the new players stepping up and stepping into roles. Nolan, East, and McAdoo all have proven they can play at the D1 level at this point. The one person they probably missed that most Bradley fans are excited about is Rienk Mast, a 6'10 shooter from the Netherlands who red-shirted last year because of Injury. The talent is there to challenge Loyola and UNI, but it will depend on how well the pieces fit together.
