Redbirds' AD to Retire

I don't think this takes any Redbird fan by surprise.

Lyons has been with the department since the late 80s. Similarly to the Elgin announcement, I look forward ISU hiring externally for this role. There has been a lot of....questionable decisions/hirings/promotions in the department since Lyons took over. It would be nice to get a fresh vision in the seat.

Do you think his resignation has anything to do with the football coach leaving amid the BLK issue? Just curious on your thoughts.

Lyons said all Redbirds lives matter which sparked controversy among the athletes which included backlash and a campus march. He's being forced out. However, 90% of us are ecstatic because the Lyons should have been gone years ago and the Lyons family has been at ISU for far too long. They have run the program into the ground. I, for, one can't wait!

Ok. I forgot about the comment he had made. Seems like he did some good things while there. Who would be on your wish list ?
