Quick breakdown of Tuesday nights games:

Illinois State @ Indiana State

These teams are pretty evenly matched when you look at the stats. The difference here is that the Syscamores play a little bit better defense and they are at home. PREDICTION: Indiana State 67-60

Southern Illinois @ Bradley

Two low scoring teams go down to the wire here, The keys will be rebounding and turnovers. The Salukis are second in the conference in rebounding, while Bradley is ninth in the same catagory. Southern is last in turnover margin, while Bradley is second in the league in steals. Southern has a bit of a let down from a big home win. PREDICTION: Bradley 61-59

Evansville @ Northern Iowa

Night and day on the defensive end here. Northern has the best scoring defense in the league, while Evansville is last in scoring defense. The Panthers are a little upset by starting 0-2 and take it out on the Aces. PREDICTION: Northern Iowa 66-51

Drake @ Wichita State

Looks like all Wichita on the stat sheet. They are at or near the top in nearly every Valley catagory while Drake is in the bottom half of most. The Shockers are the best rebounding team in the league, Drake the worst. Enough said. PREDICTION: Wichita State 82-67

Missouri State @ Creighton

Looks to be the best of the Tuesday games. Again, two very even teams on nice win streaks. The Bears have won 4 in a row, Creighton 6. Missouri State scores it a bit better so the Bluejays have to clamp down on defense. Creighton is the best FT shooting team, and down the stretch will make enough to hang on. PREDICTION: Creighton 64-62

Mo. St favored to win in Omaha? That really surprises me, I would have guessed the Bears would be about a 2-point dog on the road at Creighton. I can't wait to see how these teams match up - I'm anticipating a very close, very good game.

I would take UE, Drake and Creighton plus the points. The others I would stay away from.

I'm optimistic - actually overly optimistic, but that's an insane point spread.

Hmmm, figuring about 4 points+ for the home court we'll be a double digit road dog to both MSU and WSU. Wragge being out hurts CU quite a bit as he offers a really different dynamic from the others up front but the bookies can't know that much about CU or see that as any liability.

Then again, the bookies don't give a shat about the line as long as they're getting reasonably even action on both sides so the Vegas line isn't the best indicator of true "power rankings" or whatever you want to call it.

I think Creighton actually opened at -1. Early money on Missouri State. Not sure I like any of those games except Northern Iowa, which obviously I won't play. I think Evansville gets thumped.

How is that insane? Wichita should easily win by 20+.

There is no such thing as an easy 20-point win.

WSU's home schedule was a tour of cupcake land (Nicholls State is the exception) Only Chicago State and Alabama A & M were 20+ point wins. Those were very bad teams that would lose to a lot of D2 teams.
