Surprised to see Valpo leading this but I guess they're a tough team to gauge

I'm going E-ville. From what I saw last year against Loyola their only hope is to shoot 50% from 3. They bring everyone back and finally have some continuity at coach which makes them 8 and not 9 or 10 for me, but I don't see a lot of upside here.

Go ahead and pick them 8th, and try to forget where they finished last year. They may be a Thursday team, but it will be close, and probably a game, or two, will decide whether they are, or not. They will be better this year, but so will most everybody else.

They finished in a 3 way tie for 5th, 4 games under .500 and happened to win the tiebreaker for sweeping a UNI team without their two best players.

Every team can use that excuse at some point during any season! Next man up wasn't quite good enough for UNI on the road for 2. New year, new teams.

Losing an AJ Green or Marcus Domask is a lot different than most injuries occurred throughout the season. It is still an excuse, but a reasonable one. Especially when considering your preseason rankings and getting a guy back.

Also, one more point. "Next man up wasn't quite good enough" is really easy to say...when it isn't your team getting hurt. Even Drake struggled a bit after injuries last year, and we all know how good they were.

The only teams the aces beat last year that I have over you are Valpo and UNI. UNI gets their MVC POY back and Valpo brought in a bunch of big 10 talent. I don't think Evansville will be better than Bradley, based off past performance and some of the talent Bradley brought in this year.

I know, I know, I am a Valpo guy, but this team is better at every position versus last years team. Donavan Clay would probably not even start this year. Unless the transfers do not mesh at all there is no way they finish lower than the 20-21 team.

I don't get why they were voted 9th, guess because people haven't seen most of the team
