Hopefully that's a wakeup call for this team and yeah Ashland shot the lights out but nonetheless... Yikes... Even in a difficult MVC this year if this team can't avoid Thursday then patience with Lottich should be getting very very thin if it isn't already.

Losing exhibitions is meaningless, but if I were a Valpo fan, the things that would concern me was the fact you got rebounded, you only forced 8 turnovers, they shot 62% from both 3 pt and the field, and you took 33 treys and only hit 11.

So in other words the exact same issues that have plagued the program the entire Lottich era. Yeah. Exciting times.

Who knows; just those would seem to be issues that need attention. You can have a bad nite shooting or be careless with the ball in an exhibition game and end up in a close affair or even lose. But you should be physically dominant and so areas like rebounding, forcing turnovers, etc are areas you expect to see on the positive side.

I thought rebounding wouldn't be so much of an issue with the additions we brought in (and to be fair Ashland had an amazing shooting night but still you've got to win that game.) The fact that we were outrebounded again is very disappointing. We were also supposed to have better shooters on this team. Hopefully that's just a bad night but I'm so used to being disappointed by Lottich's teams that I'm highly inclined that it's going to be another year of the same frustration leading us to wonder if he ever actually had an offensive system at all.

Can I change my prediction and put Valpo 13th?

I couldn't be an AD, I wouldn't have let Lottich into the locker room tonight and FedExed him his belongings

Unacceptable.

Drake beat Drury 96-49 in a game that was not as close as it sounds.

Apparently Flagler is the preseason #2 ranked D2 school in the nation. They might be pretty good.
