Might seem odd to have an ISU fan post this but former Bradley coach Dick Versace passed away. I had tremendous respect for him, maybe Bradley’s best coach of the last 50 years. The Donewald Versace games were the height of the rivalry. I loved those games. RIP Dick, you were one of a kind.

Thanks for the recognition. He was before my time but I hear he helped make that rivalry a true rivalry and was just larger than life. ISU fans (overall) are all right :)

Bradley and the Valley in general had so many big time players during Versace's time in the league.

Will always remember Versace for his white hair, and colorful demeanor. I recall his team when he had Hersey Hawkins. He provided a lot of thrills for both Brave and MVC fans.

The man is a legend. Numerous MVC titles and NIT title. 1986 national coach of the year and recruited the 1988 national player of the year. Long NBA career as coach, GM and TV analyst. He remembered his friends from Peoria long after he moved on.
