MVC SCHEDULING

The VB schedules are out and what's interesting is the travel partners and scheduling with the new 12 team MVC . In VB they are playing 7 teams H/H and 4 teams just once for an 18 game schedule. In women's sports like VB/WBB they use travel partners , so in this format you play 6 groups of travel partners H/H , your own travel partner H/H, and then 2 sets on travel partners just either home or away. Travel partners are :
Missouri St & SIU
Murray St & Belmont
Valpo & UIC,
ISUb & UE
UNI & Drake
ISUr & Bradley

In basketball they supposedly will play 20 game schedules , so the format for VB won't work there . Will be interesting to see how it gets assigned . MBB doesn't use travel partners, so they will have an easier time with a 20 game schedule. Supposedly for men you will play 9 teams 2x and 2 teams 1x , and the teams you don't play will rotate yearly, but will not include prime rivals [ like Bradley Vs ISUr] , and they will try to match top teams so that 1 of the teams you might not play if you are a preseason champion challenger, would be a lower picked team. We'll see.

VB and WBB scheduling makes sense. Will be interesting to see how things work out with Men's basketball. Just glad to see quality programs added.to the MVC, and making it a 12 team conference. Hopefully it stays that way..
