I'm going to assume it took this long so they they could negotiate a buyout.

There's always someone who wants to be a DI head coach. I'd expect them to take a shot on a young, ambitious type. Hard to see anyone with any experience wanting the worst job in the league.

I doubt Lowery would take that job.

I'd imagine they're going to have a difficult time finding many D1 headcoaches or high/midmajor asst's who would take it. Maybe d2?

Lowery actually makes a lot of sense here

They could do the league a favor and go the St. Francis - Brooklyn route.

Lowery’s stock is soaring to the point he won Assistant Coach of the Year as voted by his peers. BTN did a segment on him during the Big Ten Tournament and there was another segment on him in the NCAA Tournament. With that national recognition, I’m not sure he’d take the Valpo job. Would be huge for the Valley though.

Congrats Valpo fans! Drake followers can speak from personal experience, there’s nothing worse than being stuck with a bad coach and an administration refuses to do anything about it. At least now you have hope.
