Does anyone here have an account on the Valpo board? I'm reading it right now and ReZyNeZy is posting blatant, insane misinformation. This fantasy BS is where I draw the line:
Most of the other small private schools in the valley are doing just as poorly both NIL and School health. Heck, before the Wardle hire, Bradley build a small on campus arena and was considering dropping to the D2/D3 level

I avoid signing up on team boards, but this tsunami of fictional BS is too much not to correct. I'm having trouble getting a working account with their forum software.

There was some minor talk about moving the BU MBB games on campus - I would like the idea if the arena were 5,500 or so. But, it's not. It's also a boring facility. A venue that Bradley controls would help a lot in many ways.

But there was NEVER any talk of going D2 or D3. Ridiculous.

When we just saw over 9k attend the Illinois State game and over 7k the other night for Murray, I am relieved the RenCon move never happened.

During the Geno Ford years, the Civic Center felt dead and soulless. It was a much easier argument to make that moving on campus made some sense. Especially when Bradley pays six figures a year to play at the Civic Center. There was a lot of talk back then that attendance might never come back close to where it was. Turns out, all it took was putting a consistently competitive team on the floor.

When Carver has over 7k and Bradley is good, it feels big time.

I guess maybe I've gotten so used to his overstatements and exaggerations that nothing Rez says bothers me anymore. In fact the Valpo posting got so sparse for a while that I was happy to have him around giving us something different to read. Still glad to have him around because he can at times make great points and arguments. He does have thick skin but you should still try to be kind. :)

As far as our new fan board goes I nearly gave up registering too when our old board was discontinued because it was so badly outdated. A few of you who occasionally posted on our old board made it over to the new one but I'm guessing that most didn't. Please keep trying and maybe you can get some help from our moderator. Its always great to have outside voices particularly when we are talking directly about basketball.

Im not sure 7K in an 11K arena is a better atmosphere than 5K in a 5K arena - especially when you consider the finances but it’s a moot point anyway.

He wants so badly to feel like Valpo isn't out of its depth in this league that he tries to drag everyone down to their level.

It's one thing when he's trying to hang onto Evansville's coattails to prove they belong, but when you start trying to equivocate what's happening at Valpo with Bradley and Drake, you've jumped the shark.

Yeah, such rumors and talk ran rampant and unchecked on the BradleyFans board for years, but there was NEVER any substance or truth to it. It was just anti-Glasser propaganda.

BUT, because it went largely unchecked and for years people got most of their Bradley chatter from that board, it's not surprising people have that in their mind as an actual thing, even though it wasn't.

Beating ISU last night felt pretty good, even if it likely doomed SIU to 8-9 game hell at Arch Madness.

Southern had blown three straight home leads in the weird (Murray game moved) four-game homestand: a 13-point halftime lead to Belmont, a 6-point lead with 8 to go against Murray and a 16-point first half lead against Valpo. Holding onto the lead last night was necessary for the sanity of all involved with Saluki hoops. It also was great to avenge a 30-plus point loss in Normal when the team was bottoming out in early January.

Also good to see Jarrett Hensley snap out of his recent slump and play well on senior night. He was the only one they honored, so looks like they're going to appeal for another year for Dibba (unless he transfers or starts a pro career).

Also, since Drew Steffe justifiably took some heat on here earlier this season, got to give him his due: he was 5 for 5 from 3 last night and has played pretty good ball much of the past six weeks or so.
