2025 Transfer Portal

Figured I'd get this thread going as it will be the biggest topic the next few weeks. Who is leaving? Who is coming into the conference next season?

I'd like to think that we won't have the entire team leaving to the portal this off season. With what I gathered as players having a pretty good relationship with Coach Ehsan and the staff, we should have a nice group coming back. Including the two redshirts (Carlos Harris and Iker Garmendia), Jayce Nathaniel who only played 3 games and our 3 freshmen commits, UIC should be even better in '25-'26. Those 6 players are all 3+ stars (3.3-3.51). This season let Ehsan get back in the deep water again and allowed him to experience the rigors of the Missouri Valley. He now knows what he's up against and can make some adjustments to the type of system he wants to run and the personnel he needs to run it.

I’m leaving my job for a $400k increase as would most of you. Even if you get fired in a year, you can go unemployed for a while and be fine. Now apply the same logic to an 18 year old basketball player with only a 4 year window to cash in.
